Acting should be rooted in technique. After this six-week class, actors will leave with a firmer understanding of Given Circumstances, the "Magic If", and the Method of Physical Action. Actors will build a shared language and understanding of technique that supports the collaborative nature of our work.

Who is Brenna DiStasio?  

 

Brenna is a working actor, casting director, and creative director in Chicago, and she's here to help you build a strong foundation. 

​

As a Co-Founder and Governing Ensemble member of The Story Theatre, she works as a producer, in casting, and new play development. She holds her BFA in Acting from the University of Arizona. Film and television credits include Night Sky (Amazon/Legendary), Chicago Med (NBC), Christmas...Again?! (Disney Channel), and The Proposal (Indie). Commercial credits include Humira, Frigo Cheese, AAA, Carmex, Modelo Chelada, and Ace Hardware. She has worked with Northlight Theatre, Remy Bumppo, Rasaka Theatre, and Arizona Theatre Company, among others. Some of her favorite shows include How I Learned to Drive, The Book of Will, Julius Caesar, Uncle Vanya, Other Desert Cities, and Lend Me a Tenor.
