About

Work with an actor with over 25 years of experience, Jonathan Lipnicki, to improve your preparation process. This two-day intensive will dig into how to prep your material through scene work and feedback from Jonathan while working with your peers. Working FOUR scenes over two days, you'll dig into rehearsal and running all of these scenes with various scene partners.

Friday • 6-8p

Join us on Friday evening to meet your scene partners, discuss the weekend's overview, and conduct everyone's Personal Consultation. These consultations will talk individually with actors about goals, roadblocks, and where each student is in the journey. You'll be assigned your Saturday scene partner and have a chance to chat before the evening wraps.

Saturday • 10a-5p • One hour lunch

Saturday morning starts with students getting on camera with 3-5 page scenes of their choosing, showcasing their skills. Working these scenes with Jonathan will take us to our lunch break. After lunch, you'll work with your Saturday scene partner on your first assigned piece. The afternoon will be spent in start-stop rehearsals and working with your scene partner.  These scenes are designed to be run several times to get as specific as possible with coaching. By the end of the day, you'll be assigned your new Sunday partner to receive a new scene the following day.

Sunday • 10a-5p • One hour lunch

Similarly to day one, you'll bring in ANOTHER, different, 3-5 page scene of your choosing. Using what you've learned from day one, the top of the day will be spent working on your second chosen scene individually. Jonathan will give you feedback, and you'll rework this scene several times before lunch.

After lunch, you and your Sunday scene partner will be given your second assigned piece of material. Another afternoon of rehearsals will take place and the second assigned scene will get worked on camera before we close the day with a Q&A.

Work with working professionals and soak in all the information Jonathan can bring in his two-day (and an evening) intensive to push your prep to the next level!

What Students Say

“Jonathan is by far my favorite teacher I’ve worked with in any acting class. He’s serious about his craft and uses his own experiences to help you push yourself to become a better actor. I learned so many helpful things and feel so much more confident in any acting scenario now.  He’s also just an awesome person in general and had a blast working with him. I would highly recommend him to anyone interested in taking his class. “

-- Hunter Hobbs

I highly recommend Jonathan Lipnicki’s acting classes to anyone looking to improve their acting skills! While his acting career speaks for itself, he also has an innate ability to coach and develop actors at every level.  While I was in his classes, I let him know I needed to improve my comedic skills. He handed me a comedic script and pushed me to embody the character, trust the writing, and live in each moment. After taking his class and applying his techniques, I booked my very first SAG Feature Film role from my audition! I cannot thank him enough and look forward to the next training session with him. He is one of the most professional people I have worked with in my military career working in combat operations and now acting career.
