2022: Goals at The Forge
Happy New Year! At The Forge, we don’t wait for January to set goals for ourselves. We set objectives on a weekly and even daily basis, with those goals shift constantly with this fast moving industry. That being said, as the rest of the world sets resolutions for 2022, we want to share with you a few of our overarching aspirations for the new year.

In-person classes are coming back, but we’re not leaving online learning in the dust.
We miss sharing physical space with you, and we’re so excited to have you join us in our new space. However, virtual learning has given us the opportunity to meet and work with so many students that we might not have met, had we not hosted so many online classes.
Going forward, we don’t want our student base to be limited to those with the ability to commute to our space, on our time. Everyone deserves access to affordable and free education resources, and we plan to maintain and expand our online learning options throughout 2022.
We are incredibly grateful for those of you who have been with us since the Blue Door days.
As we broaden our horizons with online learning, we’re also searching for ways to show our love and appreciation for those who have stuck by our side through a global pandemic. Our little business could not have survived without you and your patience, loyalty and support.
We want to keep watching you grow with us, and are always striving to make it affordable to train with regularity. In order to achieve this goal, The Forge team is in the process of crafting a membership program for our regulars. We love you all and can’t wait to share the details.
The last year has been challenging.
We don’t anticipate that 2022 will be any less demanding. In fact, we’ve heard overwhelmingly from our students that you are feeling a great deal of anxiety and fear surrounding getting back into the swing of things. We hear you. Our communities have been through a collective trauma over the past two years, and we intend to do what we can to ease those anxieties as they pertain to re-entering the industry. We will be prioritizing our own mental health in 2022, and insist that our students and teachers do the same.
We also intend to prioritize equity.
Maintaining virtual learning is a small step, but it’s not enough. This year, we will be announcing The Forge’s very first training scholarship program. We can’t do it without your input, so please keep an eye out for more information.
Happy New Year folks, thanks for sticking with us.
