Service Description

Each week consists of a short Q&A section where students can ask any and all questions. Week One: This week will consist of an introduction to on-camera acting and auditions. Students will learn a breakdown of basics like framing and lighting for self-tape auditions and in-person auditions. Students will be asked prior to the start of the session to have a 2-page scene prepared for this week to perform and receive feedback. Week Two: Students will bring in assigned material from the previous week to perform. The focus will be on character depth with longer on-camera scenework. Week Three: Students will practice cold reading for the camera. They will receive material on the same day and have a chance at making strong choices in the room and watch their playback. This will include commercial copy and a breakdown of the process of auditioning and working on commercials. Week Four: Students will have been tasked with submitting their own self-tape to watch during this week's class and receive feedback. The focus will be putting together learned skills from the previous weeks. Week Five: Students will work on co-star and dayplayer roles. This will include practice with roles that film for one day on feature films as well as the co-star for television shows. The instructor will breakdown the process and provide students with insight into building a strong co-star foundation. Week Six: The final week will be spent on mock auditions with assigned material (or real auditions the students are working on) with feedback and playback. Who is Jack Seijo?
