Service Description

Week 1: Introduction to theatrical auditioning with basic on camera skills and set up for auditions. We’ll start out with under-5s that are self taped at home. We’ll then go over in class and then rework the scenes. Week 2 - This week, small co-star roles will be introduced. Again self taped at home, go over in class and rework the scenes. Week 3: I will assign co-star scenes for class members to partner up on. They’ll self tape (individually with the other as reader via zoom etc). Then they’ll get the scene up on its feet in class to play both individually with reader and then with their scene partner (like being on set). Week 4: Larger co-star scenes will be covered. Plus we’ll do a cold read exercise in class. Throughout the 4 weeks we’ll discuss what tools the actors should have in their actor tool box, ways to help memorize, clues to the character and the written text. Who is Chandra Michaels? Chandra is an award-winning actor and producer who has appeared on multiple Network television series including New Amsterdam (NBC), Julia (HBO), and Chicago Med (NBC). She has performed on some of The Second City's main improv stages, and booked numerous national commercials. As a member of the Television Academy of Arts & Sciences, she has an intimate understanding of the network television industry.
