Service Description

Ages 14-17. This is an exciting opportunity for young actors to enhance their skills and gain valuable knowledge of the television and film industry. In this class, students will learn about navigating the business, understanding the fundamentals of being on a TV/film set, and using the camera to their advantage. Jackie will also be offering a Q&A portion where students can ask all their burning questions! Who is Jackie Seijo? Jackie (he/they) is a film actor, Jeff-Nominated theatre actor, and teaching artist. After moving to Chicago in 2015, they have had the pleasure of working in theatres like A Red Orchid Theatre and Redtwist Theatre, where they received their Jeff nomination for their role in Isaac's Eye. He has appeared on screen in Chicago P.D., recurred as Paramedic Jackie on Chicago Med, and wrapped a role in a feature film in January of this year. Jackie also appears in the lead role of an indie short film, Agora, that will be hitting the film festival circuit this year. Currently, Jackie will be returning as a Theatre Faculty to Blue Lake Fine Arts camp this summer (2023) after having first taught there in 2015. He offers private audition coaching as well and is eager to share what he can about the basics of camera technique. *This class will NOT meet on Saturday, January 27th*
