Open Tier Looking to add a little more color and life to your characters and auditions, but challenged on finding a process that works for you in the limited turnaround time? The Actor’s Process is a 4-week course specifically designed to guide you into infusing honest, creative choices into the world of your scenes. You’ll learn techniques to build stronger characters, using what’s on the page to help visibly paint the world around you. We'll cover raising the stakes in your storytelling, devising character arcs to improve your scene work, and curating a process that works for you when given little time to prepare. What you can expect to take away from this class: • 1:1 time to work and receive feedback in the room • Audition prep and how it might differ based on genres • Curating acting choices based on character breakdown, scene text, and genre • Specificity in camera technique • Ample time in front of the camera/on-your-feet Week 1: Character Building Analyze character breakdowns to help inform your choices and build character arcs. There are no right or wrong choices; just YOUR choices. Week 2: Script Analysis Analyze four corners of the script to extract as much information as possible to bring life to your character and scene as a whole. Week 3: Genre Exploration: Under 5/Co-star for Network TV Use all knowledge and techniques from previous classes to implement into genre work through rest of course. Week 4: Genre Exploration: Indie Film Use all knowledge and techniques from previous classes to implement into genre work through rest of course. ABOUT ANTHONY Anthony L. Williams (he/him) is an actor, educator, and award-winning director, writer, and producer. As the founder of Second Glance Productions, his change-making work has earned him a personal invitation to the Obama White House in 2013 and garnered him awards for "Best Director in a Feature Film" and "Best Narrative Feature Film" in 2019. As an actor, Anthony's credits range from stage to various mediums of screen as he's had the pleasure of working alongside Jennifer Anniston, Fantasia Barrino, Jason Sedakis, Sophia Bush, and Ed Helms, while appearing in ads for McDonalds, Anheuser-Busch, Motorola, the US Air Force, and many others. He truly believes part of his purpose is pouring into others as he's been poured into throughout his career.
