In this class, you’ll significantly widen your nonverbal gestural vocabulary, and learn to embrace performance moments with and without dialogue. Week 1: "A gesture is worth a thousand words" Exploring the five classifications of gestures - Emblems, Illustrators, Adaptors, Regulators, and Affect displays. Week 2: “Head to toe” Exploring possible meanings of gestures from every zone of the body. Week 3: “Inside-out, outside-in” Exploring expressive gestures, shape, and archetypal gestures. Week 4: “Putting it together” Combine everything together with playful improvisations and skill drills on camera.
